At a Service
Morning services at Cowley Road Methodist Church usually follow a traditional Methodist pattern - hymns and songs, prayers, Bible readings and a sermon. They are led by Martin, the minister; other ministers from the Oxford Methodist Circuit, or by lay preachers. Morning services are about an hour long.

We are always open to new ways of worshipping. Recent services have included members of the congregation sharing worship songs from their home countries; and a service led by members of the congregation with a variety of prayer stations instead of a sermon.
Once a month we celebrate Holy Communion. Everyone is invited to receive the bread and the (non-alcoholic) wine if they wish to. It is not necessary to be a member of the Methodist Church.
On Sunday evenings at 8 pm during term time, CREW (Cowley Road Evening Worship) gives a chance to share in contemporary worship in a relaxed atmosphere. CREW services include modern worship songs with a band, a short talk, and creative and contemplative prayer-stations. Everyone is welcome.
